Procedure
1. Access the Proposal
Log into the web application.
Open the relevant proposal.
Scroll to the Attachments section located at the bottom of the proposal.
2. Attach Files from Your Computer
In the Attachments section, click Upload.
Select files stored locally on your computer.
Supported examples: JPG, PNG (photos), PDF (documents).
Confirm the upload.
Verify the files appear in the proposal attachment list.
Use this method when files are not already stored in the system.
3. Attach Photos from the Contact Record
In the Attachments section, click the Contact button.
A gallery will open showing photos already associated with the contact (e.g., from CompanyCam or prior uploads).
Select the photos you want to include.
Click Close.
Confirm the selected photos are now attached to the proposal.
Important:
Photos at the contact level are not automatically included in proposals. They must be explicitly selected.
4. Attach Files from the Collateral Library
Ensure required images or documents are already uploaded to the Collateral Library.
This is managed from the Control Panel.
From the proposal, click Collateral Library.
Select the desired items (e.g., stock photos, product images, marketing assets).
Click Save.
Confirm the items now appear as attachments on the proposal.
Use this method for reusable, standardized assets.
5. Attach Documents (PDFs, Spec Sheets, Warranties)
Click Upload in the Attachments section.
Select the appropriate document file (PDF).
Upload the file.
Confirm it appears alongside photos in the proposal.
There is no functional difference in the upload process between photos and documents—only the file type changes.
6. Verify Customer View
Preview the proposal as a customer.
Scroll to the attachment section.
Confirm:
All photos are visible and can be cycled through.
Images can be clicked and zoomed.
Documents are accessible and downloadable.
If it doesn’t look right here, it’s not ready to send.
Notes & Best Practices
Keep attachments relevant—don’t overload proposals with unnecessary images.
Use the Collateral Library for consistency across proposals.
Name files clearly before uploading (especially PDFs).
